no video
Hi I have a problem with my gateway gt5200 and need some help fixing it. I boot up my computer and get the logo sign and when that goes away I have nothing. The computer has the one beep that tells me the hard drive is firing up and you can hear the hard drives. I can not boot up in safe mode but I can go to my bios. I tried a video card in the pci slot but I got no signal, so I need to know how to disable the onboard video chip on motherboard c51pvgm-gb. I have searched and can not find where in the bios to disable video. I found in the bios under advanced chipset features the first line onboard gpu and the two options are enable if no ext gpu or always enable. I tried to always enable but that didn't work. I had and old trident card that did flash the trident logo and then it went black. My friend gave me a pci slot video card that has a fan on it and it is a asus en7300gs/htd/256m/a at least that is what is on the back. So if anybody can help me or give me some suggestions l would be truly grateful..........thanks.........two-dogs
