My graphic card seems to be heating up a lot it goes upto 100C+ while playing games and 75c normally.

Re: Graphic card heating up!!!

Make sure the fan and heatsinks are free of dust. You can use a can of compressed air to clean them out.
Also, check to see if the fans are actually spinning up (if you have one).

Re: Graphic card heating up!!!

also you can use RivaTuner to increase the fan speed

you can download it from my sig

open RivaTuner, on the main tab, under target adabpter, click customize and choose the first option (graphic card picture), click on "enable low level fan control, now reboot your PC, after that open it again and increase the fan speed to for example 80% you can also increase it to 100%

Most of the above details is under my avatar.
The supply is 400W.
I upgraded my PC like 6months back used the old cabinet but changed everything else. So the cabinet fan is old does that cause a problem.

I cleaned my card using a painting brush but didnt work the normal temp is 75C constant atleast thats ok, I didnt try playing I dont want to spoil card.
Is a hair dryer a good way to clean the card? I did see dirt near the fan but couldnt get to it.
