XFX PVT95GYDQ3 GeForce 9500 GT

Hello i currently have a Dell Inspiron 530 with a Integrated Graphics card and was wondering if i can buy this video card and install it with no problems, i am pretty sure i will need a new power supply. If anyone else could help me figure this out i would greatly appreciate it. Click on website below. Other then that i have not changed anything on this computer so everything will be the same as the companies.

Re: XFX PVT95GYDQ3 GeForce 9500 GT

Does the machine currently have a video card? I only ask because it typically comes with a radeon 3650 which is roughly the same as a 9500.

Since it's the ddr3 model you will need a better power unit. A 400/450w or higher would be best. This would do

That card should have no issues with your system. The recommended power requirements are 350W and 22A 12V. I believe most of those systems are coming with 305W power supplies which should be able to handle the 9500GT without any issues.

Well I'm not 100% positive , but I'm pretty sure 305 is a smaller number then 350.

Never trust the advertising on the box a card comes in, it's actual requirements are usually higher. For that 9500 with ddr3 you actually need a 400/450w or higher with 26amps on the 12v rail and to be 80+ efficient. The PPCS420X I posted fits this criteria.
