[SOLVED] Graphics Card Power.
Hey,
alright i want to get a new graphics card the XFX 9800 GT. Basically it requires an addition power source. All the comments related to most modern graphics cards suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812267004 I only have one connector to connect to this? i looked up the power for the 4 piece and it said it should get 200-230 watts... The graphics card needs 400. I could take out the power to one of my hard drives (SATA) but i wouldnt know what to get in power wise to make my graphics card run.. What cable do i need? Do i need more power? Any help would be amazing!! THANKS |

Re: Graphics Card Power.
Not having enough spare molex connectors, or a 6 pin pci-e makes me wonder if you have enough power for a 9800GT. I'd suspect not. What's your power supply? Make and model and output, in amps.

Re: Graphics Card Power.
Even better is the Corsair 650TX, best in it's class. Also at it's most inexpensive.

Re: [SOLVED] Graphics Card Power.
The E521 has a 305w supply so keep a close eye on it, Overtime they loose power and Dell normally bumps them to 375 with a video card platform.
