Video card dying?

Alright, I went to play Fable on my PC. I got to the loading screen and it froze, so I control alt deleted out and this happened to my icons:

I tried to go back to fable and I got in game, but the graphics were noticeably different with strange black lines on the ground texture and choppiness.

I exited out of fable and my Icons returned to normal.

I have a (don't laugh) NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS

I probably don't have the option of being able to go get a decent graphics card right now, is there anything I could do?

GPU temp is 47C - 50C

Would a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS be alright for gaming (I don't do that hardcore Crysis graphics type gaming)

Re: Video card dying?

if you;'re looking for a direct replacement of a 7300 a 9400GT will do fine

EVGA 01G-P3-N945-LR GeForce 9400 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
$65
after rebate $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130390

you can run ATI tool to see if your graphics card is artifacting
http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ (run it for around 1/2 an hour)
if any errors pop up or if it shows some wierd coors beside the fuzzy red cube then your card is BYEeee BYE

answer what Dai asked too
