I just got this new rig:

3x Aeneon Xtune AXH760UD10-18J-K-2G 2GB 2X1GB DDR3-1866 CL10-10-10 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit

1 x EVGA X58 ATX LGA1366 DDR3 3PCIE-16 PCI-E1 2PCI SLI SATA2 eSATA Dual GBLAN Motherboard

Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S

XFX GeForce GTX 285 648MHZ 1024MB 2.48GHZ GDDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDMI HDCP Video Card

vista ultimate 64-bit

and my graphics seems to be ok in windows, but whenever i open a game my max FPS is like 5-10. I installed all the new drivers and DirectX 10, but nothing seems to be working.

I was wondering if it was possible the card was faulty.

Could you guys please help me?

Did you install the updated graphics card drivers from nvidia?

Check your system information and see if all your system info looks ok. For instance, check to make sure it is detecting all your RAM and such. Then, if you have downloaded the latest drivers, download SpeadFan. Check both idle and load temps. And post back any updates.

what does the bios list for your cpu temp
