[SOLVED] No Response from BFG GeForce 6200 OC
I just installed a BFG GeForce 6200 OC into the motherboard of an eMachines T2862 and I get absolutely no reponse. Just a quick background... I first bought a PNY 8400gs, installed it, and got no response. I thought it was because I only had a 250 watt Power Supply. So I upgraded to 500 watt. Still no reponse from video card. So then I thought that perhaps the card just wasn't compatible. So I returned the 8400gs and got a BFG 6200 OC instead. I install it into the motherboard, plug in the monitor, and still no response.
This is what I mean by no reponse. The monitor remains absolutely black. The green LED on the monitor, which is usually solid, just blinks. There isn't even a message stating that there's no video source. It seems like the video card is not even getting power. The computer works absolutely fine when I put it back to the integrated video but I just can't get a response from the video card. Anyone have any suggestions? |

Re: No Response from BFG GeForce 6200 OC
Take the video card out, and boot xp with the onboard.
Go into device manager and uninstall the display adapter, which is your onboard. Shut down the computer and install the video card and hook up the monitor cable to it. Boot up, tapping F8, and go into vga mode or safe mode if vga is not available. Disable antivirus An option with problem install is to run Driver Sweeper to get rid of driver remnants Install new drivers Reboot into normal mode Turn your antivirus back on Driver Sweeper - http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
