New Video Cards...no Crossfire

I recently purchased 2 VisionTek 3870 OC video cards to arrange in crossfire. I upgraded my PSU from 550W to 850 W. With just 1 card installed everything works fine. With 2 cards installed with an internal crossfire bridge, the system will not stop rebooting. Every once in awhile I will get the dreaded blue screen that flashes so quickly I can not read it. My system is as follows:

ABIT AW9D-MAX LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Memory
2 Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives

Also, each card came with a bridge and each card has 2 tab connector for for a bridge. Do I need to use both bridges with just 2 cards? If not, does it matter which bridge tab connectors on each card that I use?
