4870x2 crossfire help

I really appreciate any help I can get with this.

I just built a new system. Is there anything special I need to do for it to recognize both gpu's on the 4870x2? It doesn't seem like it is. I tried submitting a ticket to ATI but so far they haven't been so helpful. If I pause in the middle of a game and pull up the CCC it shows the first gpu under load but the second one just says 0%. I've double checked that both power cords are seated correctly and I have the latest version of drivers.

These are my system specs just incase that helps.
Asus P6T Delux
core i7 920
6G DDR3 1600

Again, thank you to anyone who can offer some advice.

Did you put the CrossFireX connector across both cards ?

Not to sound like a jerk but I didn't see you state that you did.

believe OP is using a true 4870x2 with internal CF.

Re: 4870x2 crossfire help

Yes I have the card with 2 gpu's. That is why I'm wondering if I even need to do anything to it or if the system is using them both on it's own.

Thanks!

Intel Core i7 920
G-Skill 6G DDR3 1600
