New Video card, need help

I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card soon and am willing to spend up to around 150-200$ for one. I currently have an 8800GT 256mb Nvidia card, can't think of the exact model, and was wondering if I would see any type of significant performance increase from a new one on games like Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3. Thanks a lot in advanced for any feedback!

You could do a 9800 gtx for under 200 but it seems a gtx 260 would be over. And I think a gtx 260/280 would show alot more of an improvement then a 8800 or 9800gtx.
