Not sure where to post this..

Hi,

I just registered here, i'm not sure where to post this problem, so i'll start here.

Just yesterday, my laptop (Gateway) started doing something new..Well, It started out of the blue, my desktop/background or anything that was a black or dark color would start to become very fuzzy, with lines that go horizontal across my screen. There also seems to be a mid point line that runs straight down (vertical) the middle of my screen.

I'm not sure if this is some kind of virus? It even does this while booting up, before I get to my OS, which is Vista. I've uninstalled my drivers and reinstalled them.

For example, this website doesn't give me any problems, only seems to be with dark colors/black. It's very annoying, and I'm not sure what could be the problem, i'm thinking it's internal?

I wish I could describe this better, it almost seems like a fuzzy TV screen.

Any suggestions would be welcome. It seems to get worse the longer it's on..

Thanks,
Greg

Re: Not sure where to post this..

Try hooking it up to an external monitor and see if you get the same results.
What model Gateway is it?
