Workstation Graphics Card
Hello Everyone,
Recently I was assigned to compile a list of parts for a new computer we were going to be using for our Video Editing projects with Avid Media Composer. I wanted to find a suitable graphics card and began by looking into Workstation Graphics Cards seeing as they are most likely the best for what we needed. But I wanted to get your guys' opinion on this one. I've been looking into several articles about the differences between Workstation Graphics Cards and Mainstream (gaming) Graphics Cards but the articles seem to kind of go back and forth with this topic. Some say it makes a big difference others say not so much. So my first question is whether it is worth it or not to invest in a Workstation Card over a Mainstream? Also keep in mind that the budget for this computer is below $1500, so I can't get one of those $800 Workstation Graphics Cards. I guess then my second question is...are there any good low priced Workstation Graphics Cards out on the market right now? and could you list a few if you know of some? Thanks in advance! |
