Upgrading eMachines W3050 Graphics Card

I have an older pc and my graphics card is an onboard NVIDIA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU (64 MB) and I was wondering if a decent video card would be compatible with this older machine.

My other specs are:

AMD Sempron 3000+
Motherboard Chipset: nVIDIA nForce2 IGP
Ram : 512MB(64 shared with videocard) with a max of 1024
I think I have 4 PCI slots and one AGP but im having trouble finding that info in EVEREST.
Clock Speed :CPU Clock 1991.43 MHz
Field Value Memory Bus: 199.15 MHz
CPU FSB: 165.96 MHz

Thanks.

Re: Upgrading eMachines W3050 Graphics Card

Welcome to tsf.

It does appear to have an agp 4x/8x slot. Depends on what is decent to you. A geforce 4 should be enough to do all basic things and play some older games.
