Buying a new graphics card

Hi tech support community. I am planning on buying a new video card but I am not 100% on which card would work on my computer. Most amount of money I can spend is $160.

This is the video card I have right now. (NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ 8500GT)

This is my motherboard that I have. (IntelŽ (Schroeder Town) G33)

This is the power supply I have. (500watt supply)

I was planning on getting something like this. http://tinyurl.com/ddg4gq

The thing is I only have 9inches to work with. 9 1/2 would be the most but it would be a very tight squeeze in my case. I don't mind any card that takes up two PCI slots because I'm planning to remove the modem slot or w.e...since i have a wireless connection going on my desktop. I would like a 9800 series from nvidia but have no idea which would work for me since I can't tell if my power supply can handle them.
