Issues finding new video card

Hey there. I have been seeking a new graphics card for some time now, and after busting my *** trying to find one that will work for what I want I have just about given up.

What I need: An AGP graphics card that will run Left4Dead (DirectX 9.0, Pixel Shader 2.0)

My problem: There is so much junk out there, once I find something I think will work it turns out it has problems with overheating etc. I don't want to fry my motherboard. Also, I need something that will work with my "250W" power supply.

My system specs:
Windows XP Pro
Pentium 4 processor 3.20GHz
2.0GB RAM
250W max output power
Plenty of hard drive space
Currently running an NVIDIA Geforce FX 5500, I can run CS, Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2 no problem

I'm not computer retarded, but I have never had much experience with new hardware. I checked out the requirements for L4D, and everything seems compatible except my video card, which I attempted to run with the game (fail). I don't know if this will even be possible with my current rig, but it seems I'm just a hair away from being in the clear. I would prefer to keep the budget under 120 bucks or so.

Please let me know if anyone could point me towards a reliable card that will do what I need it to do.

Thanks -Pat

Re: Issues finding new video card

If you can up your budget about $40, you can get by with a gforce 7300
and a 450 to 500 watt psu.
Which will power a 3850 agp card in the future
I believe that is you problem in the past with overheating, you are underpowered.
