Laptop video issues
I have an IBM Thinkpad R51 laptop that I'm having video issues with. Someone else had the laptop and returned it with the problem.
Upon boot the video has multiple lines, bars, colors, movements, etc. You can see the screen but it is difficult. The problem does start upon boot, even at the boot screen or when booting into Linux from CD. I have downloaded new drivers from IBM with no change. Would updating the bios possibly help or would it be a memory or video graphics card problem? The external VGA video signal is the same. Thanks. |
