nVidia Geforce 8600 GT Problems
Hello
Im having some problems with my 8600 gt. Well the problem is that im using my pc as usual and recently my computer goes standby (well not exatcly standby) and the screen goes off but it keeps functional (i mean if im listening to music, it still running and the music is still playing). I want some help with this problem because this happend every time i use the pc and i have to turn it off to start again. im really getting worried with this problems cause when i used without the video card the 8600 gt it keeps running. PLS SOME Help Im DESPERATE

is this new card in the computer,what PSU do you have ,think the 8600gt needs 650w and 50a to run OK may need more ,dont go cheap on the PSU its life blood of the computer

A 8600 requires nothing like 50A to run. You require 32A on the whole of the 12V rail system to run a PCIe card such as the 8600. The 8600 is a medium/bottom end card and doesn't even require a supplemental power connection.
As a start, please make sure you Vista installation has SP1 as a minimum to overcome any hibernation support issues, then post your complete specs including the power supply unit model.
