Can I run FO3?

I have an Nvidia 9400 GT and a 7100 GS they're both great in my opinion but can they run Fallout 3 on the highest settings? I have the reccommended settings for the rest, but not the graphics card.

Re: Can I run FO3?

the recommended setting on "can you run it" website only states which shader versions you have.

they don't account for a lot of things in your graphics card

-amount of cores
-Core clock speed
-Shader clock speed
-Memory clock speed

architecture of the card 64bit, 128bit, 256bit, etc

this is what really matters when looking at your video card specs

A 8800GTS(320mb) is quite a bit better than the 9400GT (my old card) and I could only run the game on medium settings.

with my current GTX 260 I can run it on full settings, but I haven't checked the fps. I think its most likely 30-60fps

You should be able to run on medium settings if you pass the recommended settings, at least that's how it was for me with other games.

Re: Can I run FO3?

I doubt it can overclock that much, I don't know if it can run fallout 3

if you have Oblivion and can run that game you should be able to run Fallout 3, since they both have the same engine

Re: Can I run FO3?

I have it on high with those specs, I have no lag at all, on ultra high I have some lag, but only a bit (but it's very noticable).

Re: Can I run FO3?

nobody has been reading the posts have they?

it all depends on the actual core speeds of a card

Fallout uses and improved engine of Oblivion so yes you can get about the same graphics on fallout 3 compared to Oblivion

Are you talking to me? I have the game, I play it while it's on Ultra High settings. I get virtually no lag, I haven't even overclocked my card like I said I would. I personally think that this card is very underated. I have all of my games on the highest settings on Steam and get no lag...
