4870X2 - 1 GPU disabled?

Okay, I have a Sapphire 4870 X2, and recently one odf the GPUs (always the same one) has decided to stop working. The message is something along the lines of problems with the driver, and reinstalling the driver always fixes it, but it's annoying as hell, and I'd like to know if it's a problem with the card or some software compatibility or whatever else.

Other info:

Vista Home 64bit
Catalyst 8.12
MSI X58 Platinum

Re: 4870X2 - 1 GPU disabled?

I forgot something: An error message pops up saying something along the lines of "one gpu has been disabled because its drivers is not compatible with the VGA adapter."

Does "VGA" adapter literally mean the conversion piece I have plugged into my video card + monitor?
