if winTV is detecting channels, you should be able to view them. n suite manager, go to channels buttom, make sure all are checked. then nin main tv window, at the rottom, right click, and select desired channel.

When i put my 1600 in, i had to bounce back and forth from winTV 6 to the new version and back a few times because channels would act up (dont know why).

I didn't realize you had a USB unit.

WinTV is really the best for the hauppauge cards..chris TV and a few others i tried wouldnt pick it up.
