Audio Doesn't Close After Capturing Video, ATI AIW 9800 PRO
I'm not sure if this is actually a video card problem or an audio problem, but I've only encountered it when trying to use my All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro to capture video from a TV source.
My problem is that once I start a video capture application, the audio from the TV continues to play even after I close the application. The only way I've found to make the audio stop is to restart my computer. I've tried this with a few different video capture programs and I always get the same result so I don't think it's an application problem. The video card has a line to the Line In port on the sound card (onboard Realtek AC97). I don't have anything else that uses the Line In port so I don't know a way to test if the problem happens whenever I use the line in or if it's specific to the capture card. Also, if anyone has any advice on video capture / editing software I could use with my card, I'd love to hear it. I know I got ATI's Multimedia Center software to work at one point a few years ago, but coming back to it now I'm having nothing but problems with it. I don't need anything extremely sophisticated. I'm just looking to make MPEGs from VHS tapes. |
