you will probably need to take out the 2x 256 sticks and replace them with 2x512 from crucial
then a new power supply to give new graphics card power (see link in my signature), and new graphics card. Crucial is best brand for dells. 2x512 or 2x 1GB corsair 750 or 650 if budget tight nvidia 8800, 9600 GT, or 9800GT. 8800 should be plenty.

For proper support: what are you running? graphics, cpu, m/board, ram, PSU brand wattage PCI-E requires 26 amps at 12 volts. That's a 650W PSU. Power Supply Info and Selection . Info on thermal compounds & application . TEST PSU USING MULTI-METER . Bench Testing Your System |
