Higher resolution displays
Hey I just got my dad a new widescreen monitor for christmas. When we plugged it in and installed the drivers from the cd the desktop and everything was stretched. I went into display settings to change the resolution to what is recommended 1680 x 1050 but it only goes up to 1280x1024 He has a cruddy Radeon x300 card I can get it to not stretch and have a black box on either side but cant seem to get it to display in 1680 x 1050 I was wondering if any one could tell me with certainty if its the card or if there is a way to fix it. Thank you

a CD should have came with the monitor. You usually need to install the monitor driver from CD to unlock hi res.
