This usually indicates problem with the hardware itself, or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. In many cases this is the result of a bad video card or a bad display driver. i only get this when i try to play any 3d game or run gaming benchmarks i can browse the net fine watch dvd movies etc even blue ray without issues what ive attempted removed my xfi sound card clean installed os with latest motherboard drivers onboard soundcard drivers and display drivers updated motherboard bios bought new ram! 4x 800mhz cas 4 xms2 bought a new cpu cooler im using a thermalright true black edition my idle temp on cpu is 27c @ stock settings i havent even overclocked my ram is set at manufacturer reccomended defaults 2.1v @ 800mhz 4.4.4.12 t2 timings ive treid every available nvidia graphics driver up to last weeks beta i have new games ive been dieing to play i even own 2x cod servers for cod 4 and cod5 i cant play either! im at my wits end i have a feeling i just have a bad gpu if thats the case my wife is gonna freak because i have spent over £500 to try and get a system to play the latest games without worrying about graphics settings etc.. other things i use avg for anti virus i read somewhere that this can cause issues i also run driver cleaner pro after removing display drivers / mother drivers etc... i used the drivers that came with my motherboard then removed them and used the nvidia drivers for mother board chipset also checked with my asus board on there website and i have the latest onboard sound drivers etc.. ive montored temps when these lockups and bsods happen using real temp and everest ultimate latest versions both report within 1 to 2 c of each other realtemp is closer to whar bios reports upon restart temps idle cpu 26c core 1 30c core 2 28c core 3 28c core 4 27c gpu 39c motherboard 29c temps load cpu 41c core 1 44c core 2 42c core 3 42c core 4 41c gpu 49c motherboard 32c i dont know what else to try i removed my anti virus program that doesnt fix the error i disable my anti vir when installing drivers doesnt matter which way i do it no matter what i cannot play any games im so frustraited im sure i may of missed something or shall i just give up on this card and see if i can rma it? please help if you can i would be eternally gratefull richard :EDIT: full system error code > Error code 000000ea, 886bfda8, parameter2 88af8c48, parameter3 88a005f8, parameter4 00000001. its this error everytime i bsod :( bump and more info bear in mind this is a spanking new system > taken from everest my cpu vid = 1.500 its on auto stock settings for cpu my chassis 2 fan is northbridge i have an Armor + full tower case with max fan placement i.e 2x front intake 2x bottom intake top exhaust and back exhaust + window intake my heating is on at the mo too because its reallu cold in the uk at the mo lol room temp = 23c Field Value Sensor Properties Sensor Type ITE IT8718F (ISA 290h) GPU Sensor Type Diode (NV-Diode) Motherboard Name Asus P5N-D Chassis Intrusion Detected No Temperatures Motherboard 35 °C (95 °F) CPU 29 °C (84 °F) CPU #1 / Core #1 36 °C (97 °F) CPU #1 / Core #2 31 °C (88 °F) CPU #1 / Core #3 31 °C (88 °F) CPU #1 / Core #4 31 °C (88 °F) GPU Diode 40 °C (104 °F) Hitachi HDT725032VLA360 33 °C (91 °F) Maxtor 6V080E0 33 °C (91 °F) SAMSUNG HD753LJ 26 °C (79 °F) Seagate ST3500641AS 38 °C (100 °F) Cooling Fans CPU 1218 RPM Chassis #1 2077 RPM Chassis #2 1951 RPM Voltage Values CPU Core 1.14 V +3.3 V 3.25 V +5 V 5.05 V +12 V 12.16 V +5 V Standby 5.03 V VBAT Battery 3.17 V Bump and even more info ive attached all my minidumps all 4 of them since clean install a little over a week ago includes dx diog + system info thanks for looking and helping if you can i have noticed i have quite a few memory irq issues i.e pci bridge sharing my gpu and sata controller etc you will see what i mean ![]() hmmn i cant find the edit function but anyway here is a link to my new psu review incase its needed > http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Akasa/PowerMax_1000W i forgot i can run prime 95 on large fft's for 12hours + with no issues memtest ran overnight came back no issues this is so confusing :( heres a massive screenie with coretemp and latest everest latest gpuz and cpuz notice i have power saving features on as reccomended by intel to diagnse errors etc.. no overclock on my cpu! Re: 9800gtx + at my wits end :(
Hi -
4 mini kernel dumps processed - bugchecks: 0x1a (0x4128b, 0x55b0, 0x0, 0xbf400000), probable cause listed as Microsoft GUI win32k.sys. Process running = csrss.exe, Microsoft Client/Server Runtime Server Subsystem. It manages most graphical commands & threads. 0x1a = severe memory manmagent issue occurred 0x10000050 (0xf8bff601, 0x1, 0x88bf36d7, 0x0), p/cause = fltmgr.sys, MS filter manager 0x10000050 is the same as 0x50 - page fault in non paged area. When app accesses mem addresses not currently in physical RAM, interrupt generated - a Page Fault. Valid procedure. System should then obtain page from page file; page not there; 0x50 BSOD. Usually occurs after install of hardware or failure of existing hardware (usually RAM). 0x50 can also be faulty system service or corript HDD. 0xcC000021a (0xe20c7368, 0xc0000005, 0x7e741345, 0x53f578), p/c = ntkramp.exe, NT Kernel. Process running = csrss.exe. 0xc0000021a = WINLOGON_FATAL_ERROR - Windows logon process failed. 2nd parm 0xc0000005 exception - memory access violation. 0x100000be (0xbf80c450, 0xe676021, 0xf76567a4, 0xc), p/c = memory corruption. Process running = setup.exe - this setup app c/b anything. 0x100000be = attempt to write to read-only memory. This BSOD was first one - has earliest timestamp of the 4 and shows system running XP SP2; XP SP3 installed during next 4 hours - next BSOD was 0xc000021a and showed XP SP3 was installed. WERCON - Windows Error Reporting - shows 1st app hang on Nov 22: Code:

Re: 9800gtx + at my wits end :(
hi guys well it turns out it was my gpu what was the faulting device memtest + hdd test all passed mem test was run from floopy disk for 12 hours overnight checkdisk as this is a near enough new hdd with clean install passed no errors except fragmented file structure i defragged and rerun passed
swapped out my gpu as most of the errors happen during gaming or when playing blueray etc.. and well ive so far managed to run 3d mark all 3 on my system back to back before i would have full system lockup and have to hard reset also managed to play need for speed undercover for an hour + with no issues or lag like i had before + 6 hours of cod4 online without 1 glitch looks like im solved rma'd gpu swapped out for 7900gtx until i get my new card back from bfg. had it tested independently and the gpu memory failed! on 4 different systems all bsod in heavy games flash games or blue ray playback. [SOLVED] RMA GPU SWAPPED OUT FOR ANOTHER[/SOLVED] thanks all Richard @ j thanks for the dbug info and first bsod i had was during setup of XP! i had to disable DEP on my cpu to boot and continue setup that took me close to 3 hours to figure out what was wrong and why it wouldnt complete :D Last edited by richs08; 12-12-2008 at 12:13 PM. |
