[SOLVED] Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 - Need Help With install

I am trying to update my system from onboard video to a video card. Since my system already runs ATI Radeon 200 Xpress, I thought that I would have less problems if I stuck with the ATI technology. So I am trying to install a Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 PCIE 2.0 card that has 1GB of DDR3 onboard the card. The problem that I have is that when I install the card, and power up the system, it responds with the BSOD and then starts rebooting before I can get any info off the screen. The cycle continues to occur until I power off the system and remove the card. My motherboard is a MS-7248R Version A-13. In preperation for this upgrade I have done the following items: (1) maxed out memory at 2GB, (2) upgraded from a 300 watt power supply to a 750 watt power supply, (3) added an ASUS Xonar D2 sound card, and (4) downloaded the latest drivers from ATI. My response from ATI was to contact Sapphire. However, either I have the wrong web address or their site is down. I tried to go to www.sapphiretech.com . Any help in getting the card to work correctly, would greatly be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 - Need Help With install

boot from the onboard
in the device manager disable the onboard
if the card is listed uninstall it
turn the computer off
install the card
change the video cable from the onboard to the card
reboot into the bios
check to see if you can disable the onboard in there and set it to detect agp or pcie first
save and exit the bios tapping f8 and choose vga mode
when windows finishes booting
disable a/virus
install your drivers for the card
reboot the computer

Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 - Need Help With install

With everyone's help I finally got the graphic card to working. THANKS TO EVERYONE!!! After stumbling around and fumbling around, I was finally able, with the Good Lord's help, and your advice to get it working like it should. I also had to go thru the control panel to access the device manager to uninstall the onboard video. At first after reboot, I was still getting the BSOD. Finally I stumbled into the safe mode and keep playing with things there. Then finally things started to stay running without the system crashing. I have rebooted twice since then and the system seems to be running ok. Thanks again for everything.
