VGA out problem - No signal
I have an ACER 3300 series with a SiSM760GX videocard. I have been able to mirror my screen through the VGA out, via a converter and on to my TV with SCART, since my computer doesn't have any S-video and the VGA gives a better resolution.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, when the VGA cable had been pulled out and the re-inserted, I could no longer get any picture on my laptop's screen when starting with the cable plugged in. I only get 8-colours and crappy resolution on the TV when doing this way. If I tried to do the otherway round by plugging in the cable after booting and setting up dual-screens in Windows XP, the VGA-out doesn't give any signal. SO, is this a hardware or software problem? Should I re-install the drivers for the videocard? I was thinking of doing this, but I don't have them and couldn't find the proper ones on Acers homepage. I just want to be able to use my VGA-out as before, how can the mirror-feature just dissapear? Please help me, I really need to be able to show my computer screen on a bigger screen, as it is seen on the laptops screen... TYIA! Jonas H |
