Trouble getting a digital hookup between comp and monitor
Not sure if this is the right forum to post, but I'll give it a try. Just got a new Gateway DX4720 with an integrated Nvidia GeForce 7100 256MB. My monitor is a Samsung 193P, with two ways to hookup to computer, RGB and DVI. I now note on the Gateway that there doesn't seem to be direct connection for a DVI plug and there is a connection for VGA. So, I've been using the rgb to the vga connection and it works. However:
1-Wouldn't I get a better screen picture if I could hookup via DVI? 2-Is there anyway to do a DVI hookup from monitor to computer? I would think there should be. but don't know how. BTW, there is a HDMI - 19 pin HDMI Type A recepticle in the computer's back. Thanks. |
