In all honesty, save your pennies and buy a new PC. What do you hope to achieve by upgrading your graphics card only? If you are looking for generally increased performance from your PC, look at upgrading the RAM before replacing your video card, it will be much more effective.

You really have a Dimension 2100? Go on ebay and find yourself a cheapo pentium 4 machine. The 2100 is seriously too old. I remember when I was 11 or 12 and playing on my friends 2100 which was kind of old at the time.

I already have bought some RAM and it is on it's way The Reason I want another video card is so I can play Half-life 2 with better graphics Yeah right, and don't tell me I can't play Half-life 2 on my machine, Iv'e already installed it and have played it a little bit (very slowly though ) it looks funny though and the flashlight won't work. will adding more RAM to my computer make the game faster? or is that the job of the processor?

BTW I don't really think I can afford a new computer right now and I just wanted to know if I could get a better video card, even if it's just directx level 7 thanks for the replies

The cpu in it is only a single pentium 3 or celeron maxing out at 1.0ghz. I don't think your going to get it to play well even with ram and a videocard upgrade.
