GeForce 9600 GT - drivers won't install

Hello everyone!

I've some troubles with my Gigabyte GeForce 9600 GT card. During the installation of the drivers the monitor's getting black (only a small dash is visible) and that's all. Only a reboot helps, but the drivers aren't installed.

edit: I'm working on this configuration:
MSI K9A2 CF, AMD 64 X2 4400, 2GB Ram, Chieftec 450W

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Re: GeForce 9600 GT - drivers won't install

no, it doesn't help. Still the same black screen with the dash. Any other ideas?

This is how the screen looks like after installing the new drivers:

Re: GeForce 9600 GT - drivers won't install

I read the manual and they say, that a PSU with 450W is recommended. That means, that it ist'n necessary, is it?

Re: GeForce 9600 GT - drivers won't install

That's me, once again.
Today i put this video card into an other computer and everything works fine. The drivers installed without problems. I think, that there's something wrong with this MSI motherboard (not compatible?).

Re: GeForce 9600 GT - drivers won't install

the starting point for a pcie m/board is 550w and upwards
whatever the box says for voltage add 50% and you will be in the ballpark
