GPU Speed, Memory Speed, and Math
I want to understand the relationship between GPU speed and Memory Speed. Please includ examples or reference to a good technical article. Mainly I would like to understand these two questions:
1. How is the performance effected of a video card when the GPU speed exceeds the memory speed? Example: GPU of 800Mhz and Memory of 600Mhz. 2. How is the performance effected of a video card when the GPU speed is less than the memory speed? Example: GPU of 800Mhz and Memory 1000Mhz. Assume that the video cards in question have the same attributes regarding everything else. |
