Confused Video card or tft problems...

I do not know if this goes here or the other hardware section.

I bought a new 24 inch Samsung tft. Connected it through dvi to a windows media c enter 2005. Tft driver and programs load and work correctly. Problem is that when tft goes into standby, sometimes when moving the mouse it does not get on. the standby light comes on but the picture remains black. Then i switch the tft off and back on and the picture comes.

This tft is connected to another computer through hdmi. This problem does not happen here. Windows is Vista 64bit. I have a different problem with this computer. Sometimes the resolution from 1900 gets to 1024, then I do a restart and it comes 1900 again.

Hope I was clear and that someone may have some suggestions as to what the problem may be.
