Problem With Vendor?

Hey people

Im a novice at computer hardware upgrading been doing it about 5 years now (mostly own PC) and i think i have just recieved my first fauty item from a vendor

My question is, how can i help identify that thet card was broke when i recieved it

Yesterday recieved and installed a Gigabyte 8800GT SLI 512MB DDR3 card and installed in my mobo

Almost imediatly noticed artifacts in boot screen - have double checked connections (power)

Just tried to boot my computer thismorning and it hangs up after loading bios (again wtill with artifacts)

Re: Problem With Vendor?

in the device manager uninstall the video card
reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode
when windows finishes rebooting
disable a/virus
install your drivers
reboot the computer

what are you running
video card
cpu
m/board
ram
power supply
brand
wattage

check the listings in the bios for voltages and tempretures and post them
