Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 9800
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186027
Just curious if anyone with an EVGA 9800 GTX+ has used this cooler? I'm having heating problems with my card and looking for something to add to it since I know if I keep setting my fan speed for the card so high so that it won't fry, it will eventually wear itself out and I'll need a replacement anyways. This was designed for 9800 GTX but there have still be some problems with compatibility with certain brands. So I'm just wondering if anyone with the same card as me has used this without any problems. |

how hot are you running? I'm in the 55C bracket..these cards are rated for into the 75 bracket i believe.

Re: Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 9800
Well when I run Crysis, no overclocking or anything like that and let the fan sit at normal speed, I tend to get 80-85C before it starts freaking out. I can manually adjust my fan speed on the card to get it to settle down and stay around 60-65C but like I sai d, I'm afraid that doing that with every graphics intense game is going to wear the fan out. This cooler was designed for the Nvidia 9800 GTX but some people have still had problems with some companies who change it around a bit. My card sits around 60C idle without any games running.

Re: Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 9800
I've been running the fan at full but still been getting 70 highs, probably since I had to take out one of my case fans to fit a new PS. Might not be a big issue but I'd still like to know if this will fit on my card if it'll help the cooling as much as it's meant to.
