[SOLVED] Gateway GT5432 with ATI card?
Hi, I'm new and first time to ask question in Techsupport.
I have a Gateway GT5432 for 2-3 years now. and a eVGA e-Geforce 8600 512mb with a 550 PSU for 2 years now. Since my MOBO is NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE. I already disabled after I got my new card. Can I still install radeon/ATI graphics card? All I have to do is just leave it at Disable in the BIOs setting right? If I were to get a ATI Radeon Graphic card. What would be the best choice? Around $70-$100. Thanks for reading this and I appreciate everyone's help. Last edited by Mystic1312; 11-15-2008 at 12:09 PM. |

Re: Gateway GT5432 with ATI card?
I would not use an ATI card on a Nvidia chip set your motherboard has more then just the video part that is Nvidia optimized, while it is possible there are usually a lot of driver conflicts between the ATI drivers and the Nvidia chipset drivers making it a real pain to get working right if ever.
