[SOLVED] 9800 gx2 sli quad problem...
hi, i have 2 asus 9800 gx2 cards (which amounts to 4 cards)
the screen is fine on the setting- do not use sli technology when i go into the nvidia control panel and select- enable quad sli technology, the black parts of the screen flicker dark blue and black, but the image is stable, meaning not the entire screen flickers, just the would be black areas. i have sucessfully ran the driver updates from this site, http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us two times with no improvement, what can be done... here's a video i made of the problem- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IqYZf1IEbg case- coolermaster centurion mobo- asus striker 2 cpu- intel E8400 duo 3.0 ghz (not overclocked) with asus silent knight copper cooler HD- WD YS type 320 gb asus 9800 gx2 (x2) PSU- enermax galaxy 1000w |

Re: 9800 gx2 sli quad problem...
thanks, the nvidia download link seems to have worked...
but for future reference how do you find the driver numbers? i looked in the device manager under display adapters> driver file details, and found nothing like that... but thanks again! |

Re: 9800 gx2 sli quad problem...
try the old method of installing the drivers
in the device manager uninstall the video card reboot tapping f8 and choose low resolution mode when windows finishes rebooting disable a/virus install your drivers reboot the computer

Worth a try. Also, clean the gold contacts with a rubber (eraser) and blow out any dust from the slots with compressed air.

Who woulda thought that the dirty old rubber in your pencil case you used to take to school with you could work soo much magic.
