Geforce 9800GTX power supply? Please help!

I own a 9800GTX, and I have been experiencing graphic artifacts (often comes with infamous nvlddmkm.sys error) since I have gotten it, but for a very long time now I have been able to paly mostly anything without any major problems, but recently nvlddmkm.sys came back when I played Far cry 2 at a lan, and I began experiencing minor-major artifacts again. I tested the atitool artifact scanner. At a fresh reboot, it shows nothing. after playing, it shows ton of yellow pixels.
I tried changing my PSU settings from balanced to high-performance (I don't know it'd it's called high performance, my OS is in norwegian :D) and it cleared out a lot of the dots (not all).

Do I need a stronger psu? My current one is a Corsair 550W, temp on the card is at 40c idle, in a heated room.

So, is 550W too little, or can it caused something else?
I have been hearign that it's not enugh, while others say it is enough for the 9800.
Please help!

Id say so. A HX620 will do the job much better.
