ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro: no display
Just installed replacement ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro card and get no digital display.
Equipment: New Samsung SyncMaster 225bw worked great until previous card died. New DVI cable. One-year-old Dell Inspiron 530. All drivers current. On boot up a little window shows up in the upper-left-hand corner of the monitor with the words, "Digital" and "Analog" repeating one after the other for 15 seconds or so. Then the message "Check video cable" appears in a box that moves around the screen. The power button light blinks off and one about once each second. Pressing a keyboard key does nothing, Pressing the monitor's button with the keyboard "Enter" style icon brings back the "Digital"/"Analog" display for another 15 seconds, then back to the "Check video cable." I do get a display when connecting an analog monitor to the card's analog output. Ideas? |
