AGP slot "In Use" ?? But nothing there.
I've been trying to get an ATI x800 All in Wonder to work for a couple of years now. It will work, then crash. I won't get it to work again right away, but if I wait days, or weeks, then it will.
Most recently I had it working for a couple of days, (didn't shut down my computer as that seems to have some effect on it crashing) then it crashed. I took it out, restarted my computer with the onboard video, shut it down again, re-installed and it worked for about 2 min. Then I took it out again, and back to the onboard video. Now when I run SIW (System Information for Windows (http://www.gtopala.com/) ) it states that my AGP slot is "In Use" as opposed to "Available" which it should be since nothing is in it. I've reset my cmos and nothing. I've restored my BIOS to optimal settings (don't know if this had anything to do with it) and nothing. Now when I put the card back in...nothing. I guess (I think) the question is, how do I reset my AGP slot to "Available"? |
