Need Help with graphics/video card
Please can some1 help me out. I need a new video card but i am lost on what/which to buy.
My info: Advent T9409 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6300 (1.86GHz) 1GB DDR2 PC2-4200 (2 x 512MB) - this has been changed 2x 2gb. ECS P4M900T-M motherboard. GeForce 7100GS PCI-E 128MB dedicated(up to 512MB hypermemory) 1 x PCI Express x16 slot I dont know the voltage I am looking to watch HD and Blu-ray mainly, not the gaming side. I would like some info on the right card for the job. and spending up to £130 Thanks for reading

what power supply is in it
you will find most of your 130 pounds will be taken up getting a new power supply to run the new video card

here is the details. 5v + 3.3v 180w max 5v +12va + 12vb +3.3v 288w max 12va +12vb 22a max 300w max so im guessing it is 300w max (not good then) so i need a power supply and video card?, to play blu ray movies. Cheers

You will need better PSU... For more instruction, check this topic: Power Supply Information and Selection I would recommend ATI EAH3850 or new best buy ATI 4650... |

The memory on your video card is a different standard than the RAM on your motherboard. GDDR3 is not the same as DDR3 or DDR2, thought it shares a common base with DDR2. The GDDR3 memory on your video card works independently of whatever RAM you have on your motherboard. So there are no compatibility issues there.
