Re: 4850 or 9800GTX+?
Depends on what type of system you have , one would be more stable then the other depending. Overall in speed I think the gtx would be best but as far as stability goes it depends alot on your motherboard/powersupply.

Re: 4850 or 9800GTX+?
OK you guy are confusing me now
Intel P35 is only a Intel chip set there is no Intel / Nvidia chipset or P35 Nvidia chip set. I think Lemonio means a single 9800GT that has 2 DVI ports on it (MSI nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)) Not 2x cards. And Lemonio up your Ram to 3 or 4 gigs usually cheaper to buy 2x2Gig sticks then 2x1Gig and 2x512Meg for 3Gig the extra won't be seen but won't hurt anything either. |

Re: 4850 or 9800GTX+?
i know all that, but what i was asking was which of these cards is better
actually, i'll give you the offered cards at pcsforeveryone for my rig and maybe you'll suggest something else for a similar budget MSI nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Express (1xDVI, 1xVGA)[ -104.00 ] MSI nVidia GeForce 9400GT 512MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 (1xDVI, 1xVGA)[ -74.00 ] MSI nVidia GeForce 9600GT OC 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express (2xDVI)[ -20.00 ] MSI nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI) MSI nVidia GeForce 9800GTX Plus OC 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 70.00 ] MSI nVidia GeForce N260GTX OC 896MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 110.00 ] MSI nVidia GeForce N280GTX OC 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 330.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 3450 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 (1xDVI, 1xVGA)[ -104.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 3870 OC 512MB GDDR4 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 50.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 4650 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 (1xDVI, 1xVGA)[ -70.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 60.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 4870 OC 512MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI)[ 170.00 ] MSI ATI Radeon HD 4870X2 OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 (2xDVI) Delay[ 480.00 ] and also i thought windows xp could only utilize 2gb of ram? because i'm going to get xp not vista Last edited by Lemonio; 10-21-2008 at 03:56 PM. |

Re: 4850 or 9800GTX+?
32 bit XP or Vista will see and report around 3.2Gig but can address the upper areas for system devices.
A lot of the time it depends om the game your playing, the monitor resolution/size the same card that plays Cyris great on a 19" 1280x1024 may not play as well at 1400x900 on a 19" wide screen. For Vid card comps have a look here> http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/g...v1-02,740.html |
