[SOLVED] Onboard video card and deticated gfx card are confusing eachother.
Goodday people
![]() I have recently run into a problem with my onboard video card and my deticated gfx card. Im using my deticated gfx card, but i think there is somekind of misunderstanding in my mainboard Let me explain: Everytime i scan my hardware it tells me that my onboard video card is active and in use instead of the deticated gfx card. Its really bugging me. Cause i get low scores on systemrequirementslab.com cause its scanning the onboard card and my DriverScanners are giving me trouble about it cause its also scanning the onboard instead of my GFX CARD! This is result Video controller 1. Name ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics Adapter RAM 256.00 MB Video processor ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (0x9610) Availability Running or Full Power 2. Name ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series Adapter RAM 512.00 MB Video processor ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x9598) Availability Offline But how is this possible if im using my HD 3600 on my monitor?? I tried to disable the onboard with device manager but it enables it self and when i try to update my Gfx driver i get bluescreen?? (But i dont think thats have anything to do with it.. maybe) So my pc thinks im plugged to the onboard where reality is im not. |

Re: Onboard video card and deticated gfx card are confusing eachother.
boot from the onboard
in the device manager disable the onboard if the card is listed uninstall it turn the computer off install the card change the video cable from the onboard to the card reboot into the bios check to see if you can disable the onboard in there and set it to detect agp first save and exit the bios tapping f8 and choose vga mode when windows finishes booting disable a/virus install your drivers for the card reboot the computer

Quote:
I could not boot from onboard cause i cannot plug my monitor in the onboard cause i use another cable. I tried to disable the HD 3600 series and my monitor blacked out - so i have confirmed that i am not insane - but there is really something wrong here.. I tried enter bios but i couldnt really find anything usefull ![]() So i just went to device manager - ice cold - and uninstalled the onboard from the face of the earth I was afraid to do this before cause i thought i had made an error. Now all scans recognizes the correct Gfx card. Thanks for all
