What graphics card should I buy?

I bought this computer in 2002, and still had the same graphics card!! my computer is running slow now and stuff, I have a Radeon 1300x/1500x series, I think thats bad.

Anyways Im planning on going tommorow or after tommorow to best buy to get a new graphics card. I play games, mostly. These are my computer things

System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Computer: Intel(R)
Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHZ
3.00GHZ, 1.00 GB OF RAM
Physcan Adress Extension

Im thinking of getting those Nvidia 8800 GT cards.
Will it be good on my computer? Can I run it?
Any other cards I should get?
Please help.

Re: What graphics card should I buy?

What motherboard do you have? That board is probably uses a
agp card, I guess, need to know the specs of the board. If it is
agp you will not be able to run the 8800, that is a pci-e card, not
agp...
What brand and wattage power supply do you have?
