[SOLVED] Need help-dimmed display,vertical lines

Hello!
Need your help please! Today when I turned on my computer, I noticed something really weird. My display was(still is) all dimmed,like colours have faided out, as they faide out in an old picture and there are narrow vertical lines all over the display. I haven't changed any of my resolution settings or anything else. Does someone know what's this all about?

you have a flat panel or bulky CRT monitor? My old CRT started doing that and I took that as a sign it was going bad.

check the monitor cable is secure

I have a flat panel but somehow managed to solve the problem yesterday. I just unplugged and then plugged back in all my monitor cabels......

I have no idea what happend...thanks anyway! I guess there's no need for this topic any longer, close away!
