Computer Turns On, But No Pic on Monitor
Okay, my bud asked me if i could install his sound driver for him. I said sure, since I know the basics about computers
I installed it with his motherboard CD, and just installed the sound driver. It asked to restart so I did. I clicked turn off computer, as he had two sticks of ram he wanted to install. I checked out his ram sticks, and they werent compatible, so I recovered up the computer, plugged in everything, and went to go turn on the computer. Woot, the computer turned on, that was a goood sign. But next, he noticed the monitor didn't turn on. I took the case off and tried to figure out what went wrong. I tried another video card out of another computer, and it didn't work. I also looked for the basic monitor adapter that is part of the motherboard, but there was none present. Any ideas what could have went wrong? I believe his mobo is an ASUS K8V - XFE I think it is his Mobo, as i did try another VC Please Help, I feel bad for him and lent him my computer tower, and im using my mac for now. |
