PCI-X Video Card
We are attempting to user our rackmounted multi processor servers as slave processors in a rendering farm implementation of Modo. Our servers have X7DWN+ Mother boards and have the following slots available:
The X7DWN+ has three PCI-Express x8 slots (two are Gen 2), one PCI-Express x4 slot (in a x8 slot), two 64-bit 133/100 MHz PCI-X slots and one UIO slot (see below). The problem is that Modo crashes on start up if it does not find a suitable graphics card. Because we are using the servers as number crunchers that then pass the graphics data back to our workstations, we only need enough of a card to get the app launched. |
