AGP vs PCI
I hear AGP is much faster which is true but if your playing a game that needs an 128MB AGP video card, if you get an PCI video card that's 128MB would it keep up?

Re: AGP vs PCI
Someone please tell me if you the system requirements for a video game is a 128 MB AGP video card but the one you get is a PCI 128MB video card because that's the slot that is on my PC, are those different? Will I get less quality from the PCI video card??

Re: AGP vs PCI
It still depends on the card and the manufacturer all cards are not created equal.
Generally speaking the AGP card will be faster then the the same card with a PCI interface picture quality depends on more then just the card but for a given GPU the faster interface will prevail on graphic intense operations be they games or 3d rendering if your looking at 2d business apps it really isn't a large factor as they aren't that intense. |
