Tearing and Pixelation

Hi,

While I was watching a movie today, my computer froze. I restarted and once I logged in found my screen experiencing massive tearing and pixelation. Here is a screenshot:

After a few minutes my screen turns black for a few seconds and then lets me see again. As I move my mouse around, large patches of snow and tearing appear all over my screen and I cannot see anything.

I have switched my power cables both from my monitor and computer with new ones. I have also removed my nvidia drivers through add/remove programs and with driver cleaner and installed the latest ones. None of this resolved the issue. At the moment I am running my computer through on-board graphics.

I have a 7600GT nvidia graphics card and this: http://www.cwc-group.com/51876114.html is my power supply.

Re: Tearing and Pixelation

Hi,
The PSU is at minimum or below the requirements to run this video card.
http://www.power-on.com/atx12vhp300bt.html
This could cause your issue.

A Nvidia 7600 minimim requirements are 350W with the +12V line running 18A

System Requirements:

Minimum of a 350 Watt power supply. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amp Amps).

Minimum 400 Watt for SLI mode system. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amp Amps.)

I would recommend upgrading the PSU.
