Will Any Pci Exprss Graphics Card Work In A Pci Express X 16 Slot

I want to buy an xfx geforce 8600 GT video card. My mother board has a PCI express X 16 slot. The info on about the card on tigerdirect just say pci express. It doesnt specify pci express x 16. Will this card work in it. Here are specs from tigerdirect.

Yea get the ddr3 version if you can , it will make a big difference.
