Need help, got an odd one
alright, I've got a custom system here. (as in all the cards are custom made)
I'm having the "monitor is working please check cables" thing on multiple monitors with multiple cables, so i think the monitors are out of the question. This computer supposedly worked where it was built but hasn't here yet. I replaced the PS when I got it. From a 220v 270w to a 115v 530w (this is built to run LED billboards, all components are new). I'm suspecting the video cards, although they included extras and I've swapped them, and I get the same thing. The video cards are a x1600 board, labeled as x700 256m, with Nvidia fans on them and who knows what under the fans. They're 16x PCI-Es... frankly I'm perplexed, I'm about to go out and get a cheap-o PCI-E card to test, but if you have any recommendations that'd be great. Am I missing anything here? is 530w not enough?... and if so how did hey run it on the 270w PS.... MB is a ASUS P5LD2-X/1333 SATA HD, who knows what for processor (if I could get it to display anything I could tell you all this) with 2gb of ram. I got a RaidMax RX530SS, perhaps that's where my mistake was but it was $40 and it seemed alright. Thank you in advance for your help. Taking the dogs home, but I'll be back, i want to get this done tonight if I can. |
