I ve changed the graphics card, changed the pci express slot, changed the monitor, changed the dvi cable. onstart up no bleeps from the motherboard, i can see the processor fan start up and all other fans, i can hear the HDD start up, unsure if it a PSU issue or motherboard ? any help would be great. 600w PSU, ASUS MVP DELUXE crossfire motherboard,AMD Athlon 3800+ dual core processor, ATI Sapphire 512mb DDR2 , 2gb Corsair RAM , 250gb sata HD Last edited by truescotsman83; 09-29-2008 at 09:52 AM. |

Re: Pc wont display
try a cmos reset
turn the computer off remove the power lead from the back take the side off remove the cmos battery move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2 reinsert the battery put the side on replug in the power lead boot the computer there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver 2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper a cmos clear switch or button there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual if you can then get into the bios post what it lists for the 12v line voltage if no bios disconnect the drives and see if it goes into the bios

Do i have to leave the battery out for any length of time ? Does the motherboard have onboard graphics if so test it with graphics card out if it works chances are your power supply needs more juice? Answer :No onboard graphics, i have thought that possibly the psu may not be putting out enough watts, as in it may be faulty but i want to check all avenues before buying a new PSU Last edited by truescotsman83; 09-29-2008 at 11:37 AM. |
